Longterm partnership TIMM Congress - Congress Care

Proud to announce the successful organization of the 11th Trends in Medical Mycology Congress in Athens last weekend. Trends in Medical Mycology (TIMM) is a bi-annual joint scientific conference that was originally co-hosted by the ECMM and the EORTC Infectious Diseases group. However, with the latter's dissolution in 2019, the ECMM has taken the responsibility of continuing to host the meetings in the future, and has done so successfully in 2021 and 2023.

Core PCO

Congress Care, as the core PCO, has been organizing the Trends Medical Mycology Congress biennially since its first edition. Additionally, Congress Care handles the Society Secretariat of ECMM, which means that we work closely together as a well-oiled machine right from the beginning.
In 2003, a small gathering in Amsterdam marked the beginning of what is now a four-day congress with over 1,000 registered attendees, 500 accepted abstracts, and 17 sponsors. If you're interested in the history of the TIMM Congres, you can check out this link: https://www.timm2023.org/past-meetings/.

Loyal sponsors

Over the years, a specific group of sponsors has consistently contributed to the TIMM Congress. To provide them with the visibility they desire, we have created various interesting items. For instance, we have allocated time slots within the scientific programme to host keynote speakers and discussions.

Additionally, before the congress, we send emails to promote the sponsors' programs to the pre-registered participants. All sponsored sessions are integrated into the registration process to provide sponsors with the necessary information to prepare accordingly.

Thanks to Congress Care's extensive network of stakeholders in the field of Medical Mycology, we were able to secure funding for a congress of this size..
